Lucille Leader is an international Award Winning registered Nutritional Therapist. She has been awarded “The Quality of Life Award for Functional Health in Parkinson’s” in the USA and “The Outstanding Practice Award” as well as “The Highly Commended Outstanding Practice Award” in the UK.

Her experience has included holding the positions of Nutrition Director of The Parkinson's Disease Integrated Nutrition Clinic in London UK as well as Nutrition Director of The London Pain Relief and Nutritional Support Clinic, based at that time at Highgate Hospital in London.

Dr Geoffrey Leader, Medical Director of these clinics, was an early pioneer in the integrated, team approach to the management of chronic illness, with a special interest in the management of Parkinson’s Disease.

Lucille Leader is particularly interested in biochemically-based, personalised nutritional support in chronic illness, with a special interest in neurodegenerative disease, especially Parkinson’s Disease. Her nutritional management programs are based on the biochemical individuality of those with chronic illness.

Authorships and Journal Publications: She is the Author, Co-author and Editor of 6 successful books on Parkinson’s Disease and Medical Collaboration for Nutritional Therapists.

Lucille Leader has been published in medical, para-medical, nutritional and health support journals including the European Parkinson’s Disease Association (EPDA), The Motor Disorders Journal, The EPNN (Nurses) Journal and that of The Parkinson’s Society of the Czech Republic.

Lectureships: She has lectured on University accredited BSc and MSc courses on Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis and Medical Collaboration for Nutritional Therapists at Westminster University, CNELM, BANT, Institute for Optimum Nutrition and The British Society for Environmental Medicine, in the UK.

She has delivered many lectures on the nutritional aspects in Parkinson’s Disease to Parkinson’s Disease Support Groups in The United Kingdom, South Africa, Austria, Croatia and the United States of America.

She has been interviewed by the BBC and SABC Radios.

Dr Geoffrey Leader, a graduate of the Royal College of Anaesthetists in London, is a Consultant Anaesthetist and was Medical Director of The Parkinson’s Disease Integrated Nutrition Clinic in London UK and The London Pain Relief and Nutritional Support Clinic, based at The Highgate Hospital. He also has a qualification in Nutritional Therapy.

He was awarded “The Quality of Life Award for Functional Health in Parkinson’s” in the USA.

Dr Geoffrey Leader, the clinics’ Medical Director, was an early pioneer in the integrated, team approach to the management of chronic illness, with a special interest in the management of Parkinson’s Disease.

He has held positions as Academic Head of Departments of Anaesthesia, Intensive Care and Pain Clinics at University Hospitals in the UK, The Netherlands and South Africa.

He is co-author and editor of successful books on Parkinson’s Disease, has publications in peer reviewed medical journals and has presented lectures and tutorials.

Professor Leslie Findley is Professor of Health Sciences (Neurology) at South Bank University, London, UK. He also holds the position of Senior Consultant Neurologist at the Essex Neurosciences Unit, Oldchurch Hospital, Romford, Essex, UK.

Professor Findley is Founder and Chairman of the National Tremor Foundation and a Trustee of the National ME Centre for Fatigue Syndromes. He is a member of the Medical Advisory Panel of the European Parkinson's Disease Association (EPDA.) As past Chairman of The Parkinson's Disease Society of the United Kingdom, he is currently its Honorary Vice President. He is a member of the WHO Working Party on Parkinson's Disease.

Professor Findley is a promoter of the multi-disciplinary approach to the management of Parkinson's Disease. He has written the Foreword to the well acclaimed book on the subject of this integrated approach, "Parkinson's Disease - The Way Forward!" (Denor Press: ISBN 0 9526056 8 6) together with Dr Geoffrey Leader, Lucille Leader, Professor Aroldo Rossi, Dr Lia Rossi-Prosperi and other eminent specialists in the field of Parkinson's Disease.
