Her experience has included being the Nutrition Director of the London Pain Relief and Nutritional Support Clinic at The Highgate Hospital.
This clinic was an early pioneer in the integrated, team approach to the management of chronic illness, with a special interest in the management of Parkinson’s Disease and Multiple Sclerosis.
She is particularly interested in the biochemically-based nutritional support of patients with neurological degenerative disease. Lucille Leader was honored with a Quality of Life Award for Parkinson's in The United States in 2004. She has also received a Certificate of Special Commendation for her work in Parkinson's Disease by The CAM Awards (UK) in 2008 and "The Outstanding Practice Award for the UK" in 2010. She is co-author and editor of successful books:
Lucille Leader lectures on the Nutritional Therapy BSc degree course for Westminster University in the United Kingdom. She has delivered many lectures on nutritional aspects in Parkinson's Disease to Parkinson's Disease support groups in The United Kingdom, South Africa and the United States of America. She has also lectured to health professionals and has been interviewed by the BBC and SABC Radios. She has written articles for nutrition journals including those of the European Parkinson's Disease Association (EPDA), The Parkinson's Society of the Czech Republic, New Pathways, LDN Messenger (Multiple Sclerosis journals), and the ION journal.
